This is important to enjoyability, because nobody enjoys struggling at a game where they never feel like they have any idea what they are doing.<br />[D] Odd combination of (a) being playable by grade school kids against Mom or Dad (with both enjoying the contest), with (b) perfect or master level play being unobtainable without playing more often than you are ever likely to --- simple enough for kids to play intelligently, yet no ceiling effect for a smart adult.<br /><br />If consistent, you would also downgrade chess for its anti-climatic ending by resignation (final checkmate being rare and unnecessary). I would reject the downgrade for both chess and Quoridor.<br /><br />Over Skype my friend and I play Quoridor a few times a year.
